Home page:

I decided to change the homepage of my website, by changing the order in which the pages ares shown on the website. Before, the homepage was a page with the four homeless people names, that you could click on to read the stories, and, to know what the project was about, you had to click at the "How can I help" button in the menu. The visitors landed in a a page with four names, but didn't really know what that was about, and I think that was confusing.

I then decided to make the visitors "land" in a home page where the project is explained with a short text (I wanted the test to be short not to bore the visitors and try to be concise), where they can then click on a button that takes them to the four homeless people profiles.

Another change I made was in the pages of each homeless person, where previously there was a big chunk of text for each one, kind of floating in a white background, that wasn't intuitive at all: the visitor had no option but to read the whole text, that had no headings, no separations and that could lead the visitors not to read the stories, as they want something more attractive or interesting visually.

I decided to divide the text in smaller chunks of text, presented in bubbles connected between each other, kind of leading the reading process of the visitor, but making the thing more appealing visually, also by using different colors and sizes for the circles, and joining bits of text together depending on their "topic".

I applied the new visuals I used for the rest of the website to the "How can I help page", in an aim to make the whole thing feel more cohesive and seem like it all worked together.

I used the same shape of the bubbles to explain step by step how the visitors of the website could donate and help the homeless people, as well as using the bubbles for the case study, something that I decided to include as I thought it was a good way of allowing visitors to visually see what their impact was going to be, allow them to understand how the project works by seeing rather than reading.
